Montgomery county, md adopts 2009 codes (as of may 18, 2010)
Montgomery County has adopted the 2009 edition of the International Building Code, the International Fuel Gas Code, the International Mechanical Code, and the International Residential Code with amendments as of May 18, 2010. There is a grace period until July 18, 2010.

MARYLAND AMENDS ROADSIDE TREE LAW (effective october 1, 2009)
Maryland has amended their Roadside Tree Law to require a permit for ANY tree removed or trimmed within a public right-of-way. The permit from DNR is required PRIOR to release of a building permit. This will impact any builder working on an existing public street where removal or trimming of those trees is needed. Read Article
