CPJ Announces New Division Manager for the Public Sector Design Department
Charles P. Johnson & Associates, Inc. welcomes Saifuddin Ahmed, PE, as Division Manager for the Public Sector Design Department. Mr. Saifuddin Ahmed joins CPJ as the new Division Manager of our Maryland Public Sector Design Department. Saifuddin brings over 25 years of experience in the civil, water resources and environmental engineering industry and holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil engineering with a focus in water resources and environmental engineering. Saifuddin is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Maryland and is a certified Peer Reviewer for Site and Roadway Design for the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment.
Saifuddin has taken on several leadership roles during the last 25 years. He served as the Department Manager for Water Resources at BAI where he managed water resource projects and environmental projects in the State of Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. He also managed projects with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Maryland State Highway Administration, Maryland Department of the Environment, Maryland Environmental Service, Maryland Department of General Services, Prince George’s County Department of Environment (DOE), Prince George’s County Department of Permitting, Inspection and Enforcement (DPIE), and various other counties and local agencies in Maryland and Virginia. Saifuddin’s major career accomplishment, to date, was his drainage and stormwater management design and General Engineering Consultant roles for the Inter County Connector (MD 200) design build project.
