Last week, Sean Peiffer, CPJ’s Virginia Surveys Department Division Manager, participated in a day of citizen advocacy with the National Society of Professional Surveyors on Capitol Hill. Sean, alongside two other professionals, met with Legislative Assistants from the offices of Senator Tim Kaine, Senator Mark Warner, and Representative Bob Good to discuss critical topics, including licensing and workforce development in the surveying industry.

The event brought together more than 70 surveyors from over 35 states and coincided with the NSPS Student Competition on the National Mall—a testament to the future of the profession. CPJ is proud to support the surveying community and the important work being done to advance the profession at the national level!
