Job Duties 

Prepare site and subdivision plans for residential, commercial and industrial projects in Anne Arundel County, Montgomery County or Prince George’s Counties, to include storm water management, storm sewer plans and profiles, outfall analysis, sanitary sewer plans and profiles, water line plans and profiles, water network analysis, public street design, erosion and sediment control plans, fire lane plans, pavement designs, pavement striping and signage plans, maintenance of traffic plans, bond estimates and bond reductions. Assist clients with bonding and permitting procedures.  Assist other company departments in the preparation of re-zonings, infill lot grading plans and preliminary plats.  Interact with County staff, clients, members of the public and elected and appointed officials. Possible attendance at night meetings.  Involvement with industry related associations/organizations will be expected.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Above average written and oral communication skills

  • Project organizational and time management skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Maryland  land development engineering

  • P.E. license preferred

  • Experience in Anne Arundel, Montgomery or Prince Georges County preferred

Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

You will primarily be responsible for managing and serving as a technical lead for all aspects of water resources projects. 

Job Duties

  • Complete complex hydrologic and hydraulic analyses

  • Design water resources improvements including stream restoration, dam improvements, and storm drain and stormwater management retrofits, prepare and obtain all approvals for all construction documents,

  • Handle client communications,

  • Manage construction observation and documentation efforts. 

  • Manage engineering/CAD technicians, surveyors, and sub-consultants

  • Oversee preparation of construction documents. 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Professional engineer’s license in the state of Maryland (or the ability to obtain a Maryland license within three (3) months of hire.

  • Seven (7) years of water resources experience and must be able to demonstrate intimate knowledge of and experience in the execution of water resources projects including phases of feasibility, conceptual design, construction document preparation, permitting, and construction management and documentation. 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A familiarity with permitting processes of Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Howard Counties as well as the Maryland State Highway Administration and the Maryland Department of the Environment. 

  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Experience with Microsoft Project

  • Experience with ArcGIS 

  • Prince George’s County Resident

Job Duties 

  • ​Collaborate with an experienced team of registered landscape architects, Land Use Planners, and civil engineering professionals on interesting and high-profile projects throughout the region

  • Support the development and preparation of zoning, entitlement and permit documents

  • Support the development of design and preparation of construction document packages

  • Travel to project sites to perform site inventory, tree identification and analysis

  • Gain an understanding of codes and environmental restrictions that affect our work in the Annapolis region.

  • Research project-related issues and sustainable design practices 

  • Create 3D and perspective renderings for clients and marketing materials

Required Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture

  • 0-5 years of employment history in a landscape architecture office

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/ LandFX drafting programs

  • Experience in grading, planting design, and construction detailing

  • Graphic skills, both generated by hand-drawing and computer assisted programs

  • Proficiency or familiarization with Photoshop, In-Design, Illustrator, Sketch-up, and Microsoft Office

  • Demonstrated skills in design and construction document preparation

Sr. CAD Technician

Job Duties 

  • Work from detailed sketches or off redlines to prepare plans, profiles, and detail drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2019 (and more current versions)

  • Develop land documents showing topographical contours, elevations, profiles and cross-sections as well as develop draft design engineering drawings

  • Handle AutoCAD transfers. Must be flexible in work assignments

  • Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings with minimal supervision

  • Maintain organized work area to allow access of project to team members

  • Ability to process paper/electronic documents and utilize computer equipment; ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; ability to visit project sites if necessary.

  • Job also requires ability to evaluate alternatives and select solutions, manage multiple concurrent projects.
